He made this assertion while hosting other chief executives officers of some civil society organisation in his office at NBTT Complex, old airport road Jos plateau state Nigeria on 17Th of August 2011. Mr Iyah, an international development consultant and an expert on community cohesion condemned the spate of killing of Innocent citizens to include women and children. He further challenged Government at all levels in the state to be more proactive in dealing with inequalities, unemployment, poverty and lack of quality education in public schools rather than putting all blames on religious differences. He stated that there is the need to explore the state of ethnic relations and the impact of government programmes in enhancing socio-economic integration of different communities in Nigeria which is the most populous and culturally diverse country in Africa he made a case for the need for further studies and research on community cohesion strategies which he believes is important because it draws more attention to the prevailing issue of societal fractures based on ethnicity and its implication on national development.
